Lady Mary Christina Holborow, DCVO (born 19 September 1936), born Lady Mary Christina Stopford, is a daughter of the 8th Earl of Courtown and the former Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall. On 8 August 1959, she married Geoffrey Jermyn Holborow and they have two children, Katherine Mary (born 1961) and Crispin (born 1963).
On retirement from her career as a magistrate she became the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall and since then is a trustee of Cornwall Rural Community Council,[1] the South West Lakes Trust, and the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth. In addition to this she is a governor of University College Falmouth, Vice President for Exeter charity, St Loye's Foundation and President of Cornwall County Scout Council [2] She is also Patron to the Citizens Advice Bureau Cornwall.
Holborow was appointed Dame Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (DCVO) in the 2010 Birthday Honours.[3]
